Weight Loss for Women: Tips, a Daily Plan and Every Guide
Many women gain weight in spite of running the whole house, because housework does not replace exercise. The plan below uses ordinary home food and pays attention to iron and calcium, which are commonly low among women in Pakistan.

Why does the weight not come off?
Housework is exhausting, but it burns far fewer calories than people assume. Dishes, sweeping and cooking can leave your weight exactly where it was. Thirty minutes of brisk walking does more than all of it.
The second reason is low protein. Women often give the eggs and meat to the children and get by on roti and tea. With little protein, hunger returns quickly and weight goes up.
The third can be a hormonal problem such as PCOS or thyroid, both of which make weight loss harder. If your periods are irregular, your hair is falling or you feel very tired, get tested.
Your daily plan
- 1 glass of lukewarm water
- 1 egg + 1 roti, or a bowl of porridge
- 1 bowl of yogurt
- Tea with no sugar
- One fruit: apple, guava or orange
- Or 4–5 almonds
- 1 roti
- Chicken, fish or daal
- Salad and 1 bowl of yogurt
- Green tea
- A handful of chickpeas or makhana
- Vegetables or soup with 1 roti
- Or grilled chicken and salad
Do this
- Walk for 30 minutes a day, indoors is fine.
- Protein at every meal: eggs, yogurt, daal, chicken. Women often eat too little of it.
- Iron from spinach, chickpeas and meat. Calcium from milk and yogurt.
- Keep 30 minutes for yourself after the housework is done.
- Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
Avoid this
- Finishing what the children leave behind. Those are hidden calories.
- Sweet tea several times a day.
- Starving, especially while breastfeeding.
- Comparing your weight with other women. Every body is different.

Frequently asked questions
Will this plan work with PCOS or thyroid?
The plan is healthy, but with PCOS, thyroid or any medicine, ask your doctor first. The same goes for any supplement.
My weight is not moving after delivery. Why?
Your body needs time. If you are breastfeeding, do not starve or your milk will drop. Start with good food and walking.
How much should come off in a week?
Half a kilo to one kilo. Weight lost slowly does not come back.
